About this event

🛠️ NMBC Dig Day: Three Bears 🐻

⚠️ Please don't ride before it's open as the trail is firming up after a super dry summer ⚠️

Three Bears is almost ready to open, and we need your help with the last push! Whether you’re a seasoned builder or a total beginner, our dig days are a great way to give back to the trails we love and meet the local riding community.

The Plan

  • Take down the flagging, snow fences and tarps
  • Move the logs we put across the trail to keep poachers off
  • Rake out the cedar needles and deadfall
  • Clean out the drains
  • Rake the tread
  • Clear the fall zones

Bring Your Bike!
Once the work is done, we’ll ride the trail and make the trail goes. If you come out to dig, you get to be one of the first to ride it.

Weather Policy
In true Island fashion, we dig in the rain, but not in atmospheric rivers. We embrace the damp loam, but if a major storm or high-wind warning is in effect, we will postpone. If you don’t hear from us, grab your rain gear and we’ll see you there!

Safety First: We’ll start with a quick safety briefing and project plan before heading to the dirt.

No Experience Needed: Our Lead Builders will show you the ropes. We focus on high-quality, sustainable work over speed.

Duration: Typically 2–4 hours.

Tools: All tools are provided by NMBC.

What to Bring

  • Gear: Durable, closed-toe boots and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy.
  • Layers: Bring extra layers to stay warm during breaks and rain gear for wet days.
  • Supplies: Plenty of water, a snack, bug spray, and a cell phone.
  • Bike & Helmet: For the first ride once the work is done.
  • Food: [Note: If this session is sponsored, food will be provided. Check back for updates!]

Please sign our waiver before attending

See you on the trails!
